Chaplains Corner:
Vic Menely: (Our most infamous Iwo Jima survivor is in room
202 at Mountains Community Hospital (Med. Surge Unit) 909-
336-3651 ext. 3040. He’s doing OK. Needs some
conversation (give him a call). RTO on duty.
Norman “Norm” “Bud” Dietz: (8th Army Air Force, Flight
Engineer, B17’s, !942 to 1945) is at Braswell Ivy Retreat in
Mentone (thanks to VA not having any room), he misses
“Puppy” (his little dog, his wife “Bobby”(Roberta Dietz) in
Mountains Community Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility
extension 3010) his house and a few other things))). He
would like someone to know he is still alive and needs
someone to cut a hole in the fence so he can get home (ride
optional he can still walk) 909-794-1189.
Curley Rogers is back up the mountain. Good to see you
home brother. Call us any time, we’re here.
Jerry Pettis is looking for some people to help, all volunteers
will be rewarded with tears in their eyes, can’t save
everyone but you can help another Vet through another day
of livin’ and to be a little less lonely and forgotten. Some
good eyes around there can sure prevent another Walter
Reed. “Honor, Integrity and Respect.” Ladies and Gentlemen.
