| VFW Men's Auxiliary |
This is correspondence from the Men’s Auxiliary in Cedar Pines Park. To inform the
December of this last year.
In November, there was a significant donation made to a local non-profit organization,
called Touch of Home. This group sends care packages to our troops abroad, personal
things that they can’t get overseas.
At thanksgiving to help out Rim Family Services, the Auxiliary purchased enough food
for complete meals. Turkey and trimmings to feed 13 more families on the mountain,
added to the amount they were already feeding. This is our second year of doing that!
In December, we sent another donation to Touch of Home in the same amount. Also,
Patten State Hospital asked if any Auxiliary’s in California could help in getting
Christmas trees for 800 Veterans that are housed there. Our Auxiliary purchased 10
full size Christmas trees complete with stands. We delivered them to the hospital.
We are here to help and serve our community. During the year we have several fund
raisers for these purposes. If anyone would like to become a member or help support
