From the President of the Men’s Auxiliary
unit 9624 to the V.F.W.
As you know this has been another exiting year, with many a things
goings on.
First of all I’d like to give a big hand, to the officers and core group of
this organization, because of them it makes my job very easy. This year
in July we’re having our second annual Mountain Classics Car &
Motorcycle show! The Men’s and Ladies Auxiliaries and V.F.W. is
working to make this the best show yet!
Also in July as always support the V.F.W. Bratwurst Stand, whether it
is helping on the work crew, donating to them, or just eating the brats!
We are having our fourth annual Trout fishing derby in September, so
everyone come out and enjoy!
A new endeavor we have taken on is to help sponsor, the needs of the
Southern California Veterans home, which helps thousands of homeless
Veterans from past to present! Not only by donations, but our Chaplin
took a huge pot of homemade Chili to feed and nourish them, it all
makes a difference!
A special thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary, not only are they behind us,
they are the driving force that keeps us all moving in the right
direction, I cannot give them enough praise!!!
Special thanks to our Post Commander, Gary Duncan for bringing all
the groups together as one!
We’re also here for the community to help where we can, and most
importantly I would like to thank our servicemen & women here and
over seas for keeping us safe and giving us the freedom to work on these
endeavors for the real members of the V.F.W.
